AdPop! is my ongoing exploration of what it means to be creative inside commercial systems. I look at how iconic artists — from Magritte to Cindy Sherman to David Lynch — have played with advertising, branding, and audience expectations. The project is both a research exercise and a statement of belief: that creativity and commerce don’t have to be at odds, and the best work comes from navigating that tension with intelligence and style.
AdPop! expands on my earlier deep-dive into the long war between instinct and analytics in advertising. It’s part video series, part research project—tracing how artists have navigated that tension for over a century.
